Two killed in road accident in Cookstown, County Tyrone

Two men in their 20s have been killed in a road accident in Cookstown, County Tyrone.

Grant Archer, 23, from Newmills, and Robert Wilkinson, 28, from Cookstown, died in the crash on the Old Coagh Road at about 04:00 BST on Sunday.

The car crashed through two gardens before ending up on its side. No other vehicle was involved.

Insp Rod Flood said police were confronted with a “scene of carnage” when they arrived at the scene.
