After calling it quits with Hollywood in June, the former actor, 60, was seen in public for the first time since his announcement, wincing in pain and hobbling toward his home in the West Village.
Lewis broke his arm in a motorbike accident, sources exclusively tell Page Six.
The Oscar-winning actor was spotted in Manhattan on Wednesday with a shaved head, his arm in a cast, a hospital bracelet and what looked like a cotton ball and tape from an IV.
Bystanders appeared to be concerned about Lewis as he walked down the street.
A film insider told us: “He was in a motorbike accident and broke his arm. But he’s fine, and no one else was hurt. He was well-protected — he was wearing a helmet. But it was a bummer.”
The source added of the crash, “It wasn’t his fault.”
