An elderly man has been rushed to hospital after a horrifying farming accident, according to reports.
It is understood a bull kicked a gate which crushed the man on his farm, near Macroom, Co Cork, earlier this evening.
These pictures show the dramatic moment the farmer was airlifted to receive medical attention.
The man, who is reported to be in a serious condition, can be seen laid out on a stretcher as paramedics rush him to the helicopter.
Farm accidents have claimed numerous lives already this year.
