A man and woman accused of cultivating and dealing in cannabis worth €120,000 from a house in south Dublin were remanded in custody at the District Court in Tallaght yesterday

Dat Dinh (49) and Tien Nguyen (39) were arrested at a house in Glenvara Park, Knocklyon, following a planned search of the house on Saturday afternoon led by gardaí from the Tallaght District Drug Unit and assisted by gardaí from the Garda National Drug Unit.

Gardai seek help in finding missing Tallaght girlA total of 106 cannabis plants and six kilos of cannabis resin worth a total of €120,000 were allegedly found at the house by the gardaí.

They were charged with possession and cultivation of cannabis with intention to supply others and appeared before Judge Anthony Halpin.The court heard evidence of arrest, charge and caution by the gardaí.

The prosecution said there was an objection to bail in relation to both accused.

Lawyers for the defendants made no application for bail. Judge Halpin remanded both accused in custody to next Monday in Tallaght Court for mention.
